South Indian filter kaapi (coffee) is strong and aromatic, slowly dripped, mixed with hot milk, and served frothy in a steel tumbler. In Bengaluru, you'd order it by two — one coffee split into two cups, somehow always a little more than half each. It was just the right amount. Hence the name, and the warmth this app is built around.”
